Abstract
This study aims to determine the implementation of contextual learning on akhlak lessons at SMP Al-Maahira IIBS Malang and analyze supporting and inhibiting factors in the learning process. This study used qualitative approach using case study type. The research was conducted at SMP AL-Maahira IIBS Malang, which is located in Karangploso district, Malang regency. This study used three data collection techniques, namely observation, interviews and documentation. Contextual learning model on akhlak learning at Al-Maahira IIBS Malang includes several components, namely Constructivism, Inquiry, Questioning, Learning Community, Modeling, Reflection, and Authentic Assessment. In its implementation, it has been carried out well but not optimal. There are several supporting and inhibiting factors in the learning process. Supporting factors include the environment, facilities and infrastructure, as well as qualified teaching staff. While inhibiting factors include students' attitudes or behavior, very poor Arabic language skills, as well as students' interests and motivations to learn.
