Abstract
PT Amman Mineral Nusa Tenggara Special Airport is a class III airport located in Kiantar Village, Poto Tano District, West Sumbawa Regency, West Nusa Tenggara Province. The construction of PT Amman Mineral Nusa Tenggara Special Airport in West Sumbawa Regency is inseparable from the company's need for faster and more efficient transportation access to support mining operations. It is planned to have a runway size of 1500 m × 30 m with an area of 45,000 m2, using the largest aircraft, the ATR 72-600.
This final project aims to compare runway flexural pavement thickness planning using the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Load Classification Number (LCN) methods. From the findings of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) method produces a total pavement thickness of 43 cm and Load Classification Number (LCN) produces a total pavement thickness of 81 cm. There
is a difference of 38 cm between the two methods.
The calculation of the RAB (Budget Plan) for the runway pavement work of PT Amman Mineral Nusa Tenggara Special Airport using the FAA method produces a minimum thickness so that the costs required are more economical than using the results of the pavement thickness with the LCN method. The total cost required for the runway with the FAA method is Rp34,099,617,910.66. and using the LCN method is Rp51,476,636,488.26. There is a difference in the cost budget of around Rp17,377,018,577.60.
