Abstract
The aim of this study was to provide insight into the language attitudes of ESA Progresio members toward English, specifically their perceptions, attitudes, and the factors that influence. English was more than just a means of communication. The English language has significance for developing international connections, expanding education, encouraging economic activity, and enriching
cultural experiences. Effective communication is essential in today's interconnected world, making it a necessary skill for everyone to thrive. ESA Progresio, which stands for English Student Association Progresio, is a student organization affiliated with the English Language Education Department at the University of Muhammadiyah Malang. A mixed-method approach was used to investigate the Language Attitudes of the ESA Progresio Batch 2023-2024 towards English Language. Data has been collected applying a mixed method approach, which included both quantitative questionnaires and qualitative interviews. The outcome
found that respondents have highly positive attitudes of English, regarding it as a critical skill for professional and social success. The quantitative data revealed considerable agreement on statements emphasizing English's importance for future
prospects, whereas qualitative insights highlighted respondents' enthusiasm for English as a key tool for job success and cultural participation. Overall, the data suggest that ESA Progressives have a strong and positive language attitude toward English, which is influenced by a complex interplay of social, cultural, and personal
factors.
