Abstract
This study aims to examine the effect of Fraud Hexagon on financial reporting fraud in state-owned enterprises (BUMN), with political connections as a moderating variable. This study uses a quantitative approach using logistic regression analysis. The data are sourced from the 2022 BUMN annual financial repors, with a total of 60 companies selected through purposive sampling. The results of the study show that before moderation, financial stability has an effect on financial reporting fraud. After moderation by political connections, only collusion has an effect on financial reporting fraud. This finding suggests that political connections strengthen the influence of collusion of financial reporting manipulation. This study contributes to the development of the Fraud Hexagon theory and provides practical recommendations to encourage more accountable and transparent corporate governance.
