Abstract
This research aims to determine the role of the prosecutor's office in determining the right to restitution for child victims and the factors inhibiting its implementation in immoral crimes. The data used is primary data obtained from interviews with public prosecutors at the Batu District Prosecutor's Office, while secondary data was obtained through document studies of legal materials related to the problem. The analysis was carried out qualitatively, juridically, normatively, logically and systematically. The research results show that the role of the prosecutor's office in determining the victim's right to restitution in immoral crimes is to inform the victim of their rights in submitting a request for restitution to the court and the prosecutor's office has the right to confiscate the suspect's assets as collateral for payment of compensation (restitution) to the victim. The inhibiting factors in its implementation are law enforcement factors which are less than optimal in fulfilling restitution, legal factors which do not yet have implementation guidelines for investigation and prosecution and determining the value of losses, as well as the factor of perpetrators of immoral crimes who are unable to pay compensation to victims.
