Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of the Tawangaro Smart Eco Farming Village (TAMENG) program on horticultural practices in Tawangargo Village, Karangploso District, Malang Regency. This program was created by PT Petrokimia Gresik with an emphasis on the latest agricultural technology and community welfare. The research methodology used was qualitative, with data collected through observation and interviews with program participants. The research findings indicate that technological advances, such as automatic irrigation systems and soil test devices, have increased the productivity and efficiency of farming. However, the main problem faced by farmers is significant market price fluctuations that have a negative impact on their income. Although the quality of the harvest has improved, farmers' incomes have not increased significantly. This study shows the need for a more comprehensive environment in managing risks associated with farming and access to capital to improve farmers' welfare sustainably.
