Abstract
The purpose of this study is to describe the cadre development process and the implications of integrating the subjects Al-Islam, Kemuhammadiyahan, and Arabic Language (ISMUBA) with intramural and extracurricular activities at SMK Muhammadiyah 7 Gondanglegi, Kabupaten Malang, in producing cadres. The research method employs a qualitative approach with a phenomenological type, aimed at understanding the meaning and essence of the cadre development experience from the perspective of the research subjects. The results of this study reveal that the integration of ISMUBA with intramural and extracurricular activities significantly enhances students' understanding of Muhammadiyah values and Islamic teachings, which fosters the formation of cadres committed to the organization's ideals. The main findings show that a structured approach to cadre formation, including leadership training and involvement in organizations such as Ikatan Pelajar Muhammadiyah (IPM), Hizbul Wathan, and Tapak Suci, effectively develops essential skills and character in students. The study concludes that despite challenges such as limited resources and varying student abilities, a comprehensive and flexible curriculum, combined with targeted teacher training, can optimize the cadre development process.
