Abstract
This study aims to identify the methods used in the process of memorizing the Qur'an
as well as supporting and inhibiting factors at Muhammadiyah 1 Paiton Probolinggo
Elementary School. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study type of
research. The data collection techniques in this study are in the form of observation,
interviews, and documentation. The findings show that the most frequent and most
widely used methods in Muhammadiyah 1 Paiton Probolinggo elementary school are
the talaqi and takrir methods. The application of the method of memorizing the Qur'an
at Muhammadiyah 1 Paiton Probolinggo Elementary School adjusts the ability of
students, for students who are fluent in reading the Qur'an, it is recommended to use
the takrir method while for students who are still struggling in reading the Qur'an, they
use talaqqi. Meanwhile, supporting factors such as a comfortable learning
environment, teacher creativity, and the availability of adequate resources play an
important role in the success of this program. With this researcher realizing the
limitations in this study, the researcher can design a better approach in the future and
provide recommendations for future research. This research not only has academic
value but also practical value that can be applied in the context of education in other
schools, as well as contributing to the understanding of more effective methods of
teaching the Qur'an.
