Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the OIDDE learning model on environmental ethics knowledge and ethical attitudes of students integrated with Catholic values in the Bioconservation course at Universitas Tribhuwana Tunggadewi (UNITRI). The OIDDE learning model consists of five stages: Orientation, Identification, Discussion, Decision, and Demonstrating Attitudes/Behavior. This study uses a quasi-experimental method with a pre-test and post-test non-equivalent control group design. The research sample consists of two classes: the experimental class using the OIDDE model and the control class with conventional learning. The results show that the implementation of the OIDDE learning model significantly increases environmental ethics knowledge integrated with Catholic values among students by 27.12%, compared to a 13.16% improvement in the control class. Additionally, the ethical attitudes of students in the experimental class also showed a higher average improvement compared to the control class. This study concludes that the OIDDE learning model is effective in enhancing students' knowledge and ethical attitudes integrated with Catholic values in the Bioconservation course. These findings contribute to the development of character-based learning models and religious values to increase students' environmental awareness and responsibility.
