Abstract
Vocational high schools play a crucial role in providing a qualified workforce that meets the demands of the labor market. At SMK Muhammadiyah 4 Batu, students come from diverse backgrounds, leading to differences in behavior and personality development. A lack of time management skills among students is a prevalent issue. Individual counseling can be an effective approach to help students address these challenges.This qualitative study employed a descriptive approach. Data was collected through interviews and document analysis at SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Batu. The findings revealed that individual counseling conducted by the guidance counselor had a significant impact on improving the learning motivation of students at SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Batu. The counseling focused on understanding individual students, identifying learning barriers, and developing strategies to address student problems. It also helped boost students' self-confidence, leading to better academic performance. Some of the impacts of the counseling on students' learning motivation include: 1. Increased class attendance, 2. Improved ability to evaluate the correctness of their actions, and 3. A heightened sense of motivation to learn, as evidenced by their willingness to follow the guidance counselor's advice and strive for better academic results.
