Abstract
Students who experience bullying are indicated to have a tendency to engage in Nonsuicidal Self-Injury (NSSI), as shown by increased negative emotions and an inability to manage stress. This study aims to examine the relationship between bullying and NSSI behavior in adolescents. The research design utilizes a quantitative approach with a correlational technique. The study subjects consist of 141 students aged 12 to 18 years. The instrument used to measure the Bullying variable is the Bullying and Cyberbullying Scale for Adolescents (BCS-A) developed by Thomas and later adapted into Indonesian by Sansthoso. Meanwhile, the NSSI variable is measured using the Self-Harm Inventory (SHI) by Sansone, which has been adapted into Indonesian by Kusumadewi. The results of the data analysis using the Spearman correlation test indicate a significant relationship between bullying and NSSI (r = 0.713; p < 0.001), meaning that the higher the level of bullying experienced by students, the greater their tendency to engage in NSSI.
