Abstract

The rapid advancement of information technology has significantly impacted various aspects of business, including inventory management. Davibar House, a small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) located in Malang, has experienced substantial growth but faces challenges in managing stock due to reliance on manual recording. Manual inventory management cannot effectively accommodate the increased demand, leading to risks of errors and missed opportunities.
This study aims to design and develop a web-based inventory management system for Davibar House using the prototyping method. This method was chosen to allow iterative design involving direct user engagement, ensuring the developed system better meets user needs. The study implements PHP programming language and Laravel framework for system development, focusing exclusively on a web-based application.
The result of this research is an inventory management system that efficiently manages product data and reports. Testing is conducted using blackbox testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure the system functions correctly and meets user expectations. The system is expected to address the inventory management challenges faced by Davibar House, enhancing accuracy and efficiency in recording and monitoring inventory.
