PERLINDUNGAN HUKUM WISATAWAN DAN MASYARAKAT SEKITAR TERHADAP PERISTIWA PENYERANGAN BUAYA AIR ASIN DI PANTAI KOTA PALU (Studi Dinas Balai Konservasi Sumber Daya Alam Kota Palu)

This study aims to examine legal protection for tourists and local communities who are victims of saltwater crocodile attacks on Palu City Beach. This study was conducted at the Palu City Natural Resources Conservation Agency (BKSDA) as the agency responsible for managing conservation areas and mitigating conflicts between humans and wildlife. The research method used is juridical-empirical with a qualitative approach, involving analysis of relevant legal data and interviews with related parties. The results of the study indicate that although there are laws and regulations related to wildlife protection and human safety, implementation in the field still faces various obstacles, such as lack of public education, minimal security facilities, and limited resources on the part of BKSDA. This study recommends strengthening regulations, increasing public awareness, and developing a human-wildlife conflict mitigation system to minimize the risk of future attacks.
