This research aims to analyze the application of the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model in social studies subjects in a junior high school in Malang Regency. The method used is a qualitative method with a case study approach used by collecting data through observation, interviews and documentation. The results show that PjBL has a positive impact, increasing students' understanding, critical thinking skills, as well as collaboration and communication abilities. Students are actively involved in learning through relevant projects such as waste management and the impact of globalization. Obstacles are caused by time constraints, variations in student abilities, and lack of facilities. Teachers have an important role in overcoming this by providing guidance, making project stages easier, and utilizing existing resources around the school and home environment. Recommendations were produced to improve the quality of social studies learning in these schools through better facilities, teacher training, and consistent implementation of PjBL.
