Abstract
This study aims to examine students' learning interest and literacy skills through the implementation of Wordwall educational game media in elementary schools. The research adopts a qualitative approach. The study involved 36 students, consisting of 10 female and 26 male students. The research object was the use of Wordwall educational game media in learning activities. Data collection techniques included questionnaires, observations, and interviews. The results indicate that the implementation of Wordwall educational game media can enhance students' learning interest, initially categorized as "Moderate" with a percentage of 63.14%, which increased to 72.75%. Similar improvements were observed in students' literacy skills: the listening aspect improved from 68.89% ("Moderate") to 76.11% ("High"), the reading aspect from 72.22% ("Moderate") to 77.22% ("High"), the speaking aspect increased from 70.56% to 72.78%, remaining in the "Moderate" category, and the writing aspect improved from 74.44% to 75.00%, also remaining in the "Moderate" category. These improvements were attributed to the interactive and enjoyable learning design and the active student engagement during the learning process. Interviews and observations supported these findings, showing that Wordwall positively impacted students' motivation and promoted the development of literacy skills, particularly in listening and speaking aspects. This study suggests that Wordwall be utilized with proper planning and sufficient teacher guidance. Further research with a larger number of participants across multiple schools and extended sessions is recommended to assess the long-term impact of using Wordwall on learning outcomes.
