Abstract

The Samanea Hotel building in Cikupa, Tangerang, is planned with a total building area of 1,656 m² and consists of 16 floors. Its strategic location near the port and highway network facilitates logistical operations. The building is designed with a dual structure consisting of shear walls and a Special Moment Resisting Frame system, and due to its location in a high seismic zone, additional diaphragm seismic forces need to be considered based on SNI 1726-2019. This requires additional reinforcement in the form of chord and collector reinforcement. Based on the site location in Tangerang with a medium soil class (SD), the design specifies that the chord reinforcement on floors 2, 3, 4, and 15 uses 3D22 reinforcement, while floors 5 to 14 and floor 16 use 2D22 mm reinforcement. The collector reinforcement on floors 2, 3, 4, and 15 uses 8D22 mm reinforcement, and floors 5 to 14 and floor 16 use 7D22 mm reinforcement. Friction shear from floors 2 to 16 is reinforced with 8-300 mm reinforcement. This design is expected to provide adequate stiffness and strength, ensuring occupant safety and building structural integrity in the event of an earthquake.
