Abstract

Character formation is not an instant process, but requires consistency and continuity. Collaboration is needed between schools, families and communities together. The family is the first place where a child's character is formed, while the school and community play a role in strengthening and completing this process. The aim of this research is to describe moral values and their relevance for student character education in Adit Sopo Jarwo's YouTube animation. The method used in this research is qualitative descriptive research with a content analysis approach. Data collection techniques used in this research include observation and documentation. Data analysis involves three main stages, namely, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The research results show that there are five forms of teacher imperative speech in the form of 1) The moral values contained in Adit Sopo Jarwo's animated video include cooperation, advice, helping others, honesty and responsibility. This can be seen through Adit Sopo Jarwo's animated video clips in the Help Each Other episode; 2) The relevance of the moral values contained in Adit Sopo Jarwo's animated video to character education for elementary level students is found in the character values of mutual advice, honesty, responsibility and social care.
