HUBUNGAN ANTARA TINGKAT STRES DENGAN TINGKAT PENGGUNAAN ALKOHOL PADA MAHASISWA

Abstract. Daily oppresion and stressor can cause some individual to be stressed. Every individual have different strategies on coping both the oppression and stressor, they can choose the good path or the bad path. One way or another to coping this oppression and stressor is alcoholic substances, they can use this substances for forgetting their problems or just to getting some good times. This research target is to get to know the correlation between alcoholic substances and stress on university students using quantitative approach with a survey design. Perceived stress scale (Cohen, 1994) will be used in this research for scaling the stress scale. Test for the alcoholic substances using is using the WHO Alcohol, Drugs, and Addictive Behaviors (2001) Alcohol Use Disorders Identification Test. Data records in this research is using accidental sampling technique with total subject of 115 university students. Pearson correlation test will be used in this research to analyze the data records with the correlation coefficient r = 0,212 and p value = 0,023 (<0,05). Statistically shows that there is a positive correlation between stress level and alcoholic substances using in university students.
