Abstract
Indonesia and Sri Lanka are two countries that are still low in terms of women's involvement in politics. These two countries both have obstacles such as a patriarchal culture that is still inherent so that women find it difficult to get equality in politics. One of the things that can be done to increase involvement in politics is to increase political participation. In political participation, Indonesia and Sri Lanka have each implemented a policy on how many percent of women can occupy a proportion in parliament through the electoral quota, Indonesia provides as much as 30% while Sri Lanka proposes a quota of 25%. However, the existence of this quota did not have a significant impact in either Indonesia or Sri Lanka. This study will compare the involvement of women in politics in Indonesia and Sri Lanka using qualitative research methods with MDSD (Most Different System Design) as one of the methods in comparative theory. The result of this study is that Indonesia is superior to Sri Lanka in terms of women's involvement in politics through the 30% quota that has been given.
