Abstract
This study aims to analyze the effect of implementing a differentiated learning model on the expository text writing skills of eighth-grade students at SMPN 004 Tanjung Palas Timur. The differentiated learning model is a teaching approach tailored to students' needs, interests, and learning profiles, providing a more personalized learning experience. This study employs a quantitative research method. Quantitative data were obtained from observations and experiments conducted in both control and experimental classes. The collected data will be analyzed using SPSS software. The research involved 40 eighth-grade students from SMPN 004 Tanjung Palas Timur. The results indicate a significant difference in expository text writing skills between the experimental and control groups. Students taught using the differentiated learning model achieved higher average scores compared to the control group. The effectiveness of the learning model is evidenced by the improvement in students' learning outcomes, ranging from moderate to high categories. This study concludes that implementing a differentiated learning model can serve as an effective alternative strategy for enhancing the expository text writing skills of eighth-grade students at SMPN 004 Tanjung Palas Timur.
