ANALISA PENERAPAN ASIMILASI TERHADAP NARAPIDANA PENYALAHGUNA NARKOTIKA (STUDI DI LEMBAGA PEMASYARAKATAN KELAS IIB TUBAN)

The effectiveness of implementing the assimilation of narcotics abusers in correctional institutions includes the low interest of prisoners in changing for the better, which leads to recidivism, and public stigma towards prisoners becomes an obstacle to the reintegration of prisoners into society. Therefore, the researcher raised three problem formulations, namely 1. How effective is the implementation of assimilation for study narcotics abusers in the Tuban class IIB correctional institution. 2. What are the inhibiting factors in implementing assimilation for narcotics abusers in the class IIB correctional institution in Tuban. 3. What are the efforts of the Class IIB Tuban penitentiary to overcome obstacles in implementing assimilation for convicts who abuse narcotics? The research method used is a sociological juridical approach with data collection techniques, namely observation, interviews and document study which are then analyzed descriptively qualitatively. The results of this research indicate that the implementation of assimilation for narcotics abusers is still less effective, there are external and internal barriers, there are efforts to overcome external and internal barriers. Suggestions from the author are that the Tuban class IIB prison needs to improve and increase the credibility of the prison so that assimilation training can be carried out smoothly, the Tuban class IIB prison needs to improve and add to the quality of human resources so that the implementation of assimilation can run smoothly and on target, the Tuban class IIB prison needs provide more frequent socialization so that the implementation of assimilation can run smoothly.
