ANALISIS TUTURAN BAHASA SIKKA DALAM TRADISI BELIS PADA PERNIKAHAN MASYARAKAT DI DESA LUSITADA KECAMATAN NITA KABUPATEN SIKKA NUSA TENGGARA TIMUR

This study aims to determine the form, meaning and function of speech in the wedding dowry tradition of the community in Lusitada Village, Nita District, Sikka Regency, East Nusa Tenggara. This study uses a qualitative method with an ethnolinguistic approach. The data in this study consist of transcriptions of interview results and written documents regarding the dowry tradition such as words, phrases, expressions, poems, and sentences used in the wedding dowry tradition. While the data sources used are oral speech from traditional elders. Data collection techniques used are observation, literature review, interviews and documentation. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that in the stages of the wedding dowry process of the Lusitada Village community, Nita District, Sikka Regency, East Nusa Tenggara there are 5 forms of speech in the form of words, 10 forms of speech in the form of expressions, 10 utterances with explicit meaning and 5 utterances with implicit meaning. While the functions of speech in the dowry tradition found are 2 religious functions, 2 social functions, 3 educational functions 3, and 9 functions of responsibility.
