UPAYA DIPLOMASI KEBUDAYAAN INDONESIA DALAM AJANG KECANTIKAN MISS GRAND INTERNATIONAL 2022

This research will discuss Indonesia's cultural diplomacy strategy in the Miss Grand International 2022 beauty pageant held in Bali and Jakarta. Indonesia is known for its cultural diversity and natural riches, making Indonesia one of the international tourist destinations. Since the Covid-19 pandemic emerged, Indonesia's tourism conditions have experienced disruption due to the applicable health protocol policies, thus causing the Indonesian economy and tourism sectors to also be affected. Holding Miss Grand International in 2022 in Indonesia is useful for helping restore Indonesia's economic and tourism conditions which have been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. By using cultural diplomacy and the concept of multi-track diplomacy, this research argues that holding international events in Indonesia has an impact on Indonesia's economic recovery and tourism in 2022 through Indonesian cultural diplomacy and tourism, making it easy to achieve the goals of Indonesian cultural diplomacy. By using descriptive qualitative methods, this research contributes to explaining Indonesia's cultural diplomacy efforts in the Miss Grand International 2022 event which will be held in Indonesia with the hope of helping to restore Indonesia's economy and tourism, as well as building a positive image of Indonesia after the Covid-19 pandemic.
