Abstract
The road connecting Tanjung Terantang Village - Tanjung Putri Village, West Kotawaringin Regency is an alternative route connecting Pangkalan Bun City to parts of the Sebuai coastal area. The increase in vehicles crossing the road causes the service performance of the road connecting Tanjung Terantang Village - Tanjung Putri Village to decline, so improvements are needed on this road section to anticipate more severe road damage to the pavement layer. As a follow-up to efforts to continue to improve road infrastructure development, in this planning, flexible pavement planning is carried out, which is pavement that uses asphalt as a binding material, where the pavement layer itself is able to carry and spread the traffic load to the subgrade. The purpose of this planning is to determine the thickness of the flexible pavement layer using the 2017 Highways method and the 1993 AASHTO method and to find out the Cost Budget Plan using the 2017 Highways method and the 1993 AASHTO method. From the results of the analysis of the thickness of the pavement layer using the 2017 Highways Method on the surface layer Laston MS 590 kg material with a design life of 20 years is 7.5 cm. The top foundation layer of crushed stone material (class A) is 20 cm, and the bottom foundation layer of class A sirtu material is 20 cm. Meanwhile, the thickness of the 1993 AASHTO Method pavement layer on the surface layer of MS 590 kg Laston material is 20 cm, the top foundation layer of class A crushed stone material is 20 cm, and the bottom foundation layer of class A sirtu material is 20 cm. The Cost Budget Plan (RAB) for the 2017 Bina Marga Method is IDR 26,912,365,060.36 while the 1993 AASHTO Method is IDR 62,310,197,748.94.
