PENYEBARAN K-DRAMA DAN K-POP TERHADAP PERUBAHAN FASHION MAHASISWA (Studi Pada Mahasiswa Prodi Hubungan Internasional Angkatan 2019 Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang)

This study aims to explore the impact of the spread of South Korean popular culture, particularly K-Drama and K-Pop, on changes in students' fashion styles. The Korean Wave has grown rapidly on a global scale, significantly influencing various cultural elements, including fashion. This research seeks to describe the influence of K-Drama and K-Pop on the fashion changes among the 2019 International Relations students of Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang, using the concept of popular culture. The study employs a descriptive qualitative approach. The data collected comprises both primary and secondary sources, obtained through in-depth interviews and literature reviews. Using purposive sampling, 10 respondents were selected for the study. The findings reveal that K-Drama and K-Pop have impacted students, with the majority of respondents experiencing changes in their fashion styles, adopting typical Korean fashion elements such as oversized streetwear, minimalist styles, and layering.
