Abstract
Recently, many individuals choose to marry at the age of 18 to 25 years without considering their readiness to enter into a marriage, this has led to the recent increase in divorce rates in marriages. This study aims to describe readiness for marriage in individuals aged 18 to 25 years. This research uses a descriptive quantitative approach with the sampling technique used is simple random sampling. The measuring tool used is the marriage readiness scale with descriptive statistical data analysis techniques. The criteria for subjects in this study were individuals aged 18 to 25 years; who were in a serious relationship and had the desire to get married. The number of subjects was 353 subjects. The results of this research are that the average subject has a high level of marriage readiness, so it can be interpreted that the average respondent can perceive themselves as having a readiness to get married according to the aspects and factors of marriage readiness. Respondents who fall into the high marriage readiness category are dominated by female respondents with an average score of 71 out of a total of 225 female subjects, women tend to be higher in several aspects of marriage readiness such as emotional, mental aspects and knowledge about marriage.
