Strategi Pemerintah Kabupaten Nganjuk Dalam Meningkatkan Pertumbuhan Ekonomi Lokal Melalui Pengembangan Sektor Pertanian (Studi Pada Dinas Pertanian Kabupaten Nganjuk)

This study was conducted with the aim of determining the strategy implemented by the Nganjuk Regency government in increasing regional economic growth focused on developing the agricultural sector. The method used in conducting this study was descriptive qualitative to see the success of the Nganjuk Regency government's policy in developing the agricultural sector with primary data sources through interviews with related parties and secondary with relevant supporting documents. The results of the study showed that the Agriculture Service had implemented four programs, namely the program for providing and using agricultural facilities and infrastructure, controlling and overcoming agricultural disasters, optimizing agricultural potential through rehabilitation, intensification, and crop diversification, and agricultural extension programs. The indicated programs have not had a significant impact on the GRDP of Nganjuk Regency. This is because the amount of production is unstable due to crop failures caused by unpredictable weather, programs are not realized evenly such as the construction of RJIT and ITD. This obstacle also occurs, one of which is due to the lack of education provided by extension workers to farmers. The data for this study was taken directly from the results of statements from several parties, not only the government but also farmers as beneficiaries of the program provided so that the data used is actual data. As with research in general, this study has several shortcomings, including the lack of supporting data to see the impact of agricultural sector development on economic growth in Nganjuk Regency. In the future, it is hoped that other supporting data can be included, such as the percentage of agricultural sector contribution to regional income to see whether the agricultural sector really plays an important role in regional finances.
