Konstruksi Pemberitaan Isu Keselamatan Kerja Dalam Berita Pasca Meledaknya Tungku Smelter PT. ITSS Di Kawasan Industri Pengolahan Mineral PT. IMIP (Analisis Framing Pada Media Bisnis.com Dan Kontan.co.id)

Online media which is a tool for reporting by the press online so that it can be read by the public. In its reporting, online media has quite a lot of options, one of which is the issue of work safety. Framing is usually used by the media to frame an issue so that it can be easily conveyed to the audience or audience as a point of view. This study aims to solve a problem formulation about how the construction of news coverage of the issue of work accidents news after the explosion of the smelter owned by PT ITSS in the PT IMIP mineral processing area by Bisnis.com and Kontan.co.id media and to compare how the two media framed the news.
The research method used is qualitative which is used to identify the framing comparison of the two media. The theory used in this research is the framing theory of Robert N. Entman model which focuses on the construction of reality and the concept of work accident journalism which will then be linked to how news is framed according to the reality in the field and how the role of the press in work safety issues.
The results of the Robert Entman framing model research show that there are differences between Bisnis.com and Kontan.co.id in framing the news which can be seen that Bisnis.com is more safe in doing its news by presenting news that continues to inform how steps are taken by related parties. Meanwhile, Kontan.co.id sent a lot of criticism to related parties and had presented news on environmental issues that showed the losses experienced by the Morowali region due to the mineral processing industry there. But both media also provide recommendations - recommendations for solving problems such as immediately closing the mineral processing area.
