Abstract

Parental Attachment acts as the first support in every child's process and forms adolescent resilience by encouraging children to become more independent, responsible, empathetic and altistic. The aim of this research is to determine the influence of parental attachment on the resilience of late adolescents. The research method uses a quantitative, non- experimental correlational type approach. The sampling technique used a sampling quota with the criteria for subjects aged 17-21 years, still living with their parents, and residing in the city of Batam with a total of 270 subjects. The research instruments used were the Inventory of Parent and Peer Attachment (IPPA) and Connor-Davidson Resilience. Scale (CD-RISC). Data analysis uses simple linear regression analysis. The results of the research show that there is a significant influence between parental attachment on the resilience of late adolescents with an effective contribution of 25.5%.
