Abstract

This study discusses the analysis of raw material inventory control for mushrooms using the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) and Re-order Point (ROP) methods at Edupark FPP UMM Mushroom Farm. Edupark FPP UMM Mushroom Farm is one of the educational centers at Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang. This research
aims to assist Edupark FPP UMM in optimizing its raw material inventory management. Data on demand, ordering costs, storage costs, and lead time were collected over one year, divided into quarters. The study found the optimal raw
material requirements using EOQ: sawdust (1,454.5 kg/year, distributed as 718 kg in Q1, 730 kg in Q2, 727.3 kg in Q3, and 733.3 kg in Q4), rice bran (179.09 kg/year, 89.4 kg in Q1, 89.4 kg in Q2, 87.6 kg in Q3, and 91.4 kg in Q4), corn flour (47.94 kg/year, 23.1 kg in Q1, 24 kg in Q2, 22.7 kg in Q3, and 26.2 kg in Q4), and lime (61.24 kg/year, 27.4 kg in Q1, 34.6 kg in Q2, 28.6 kg in Q3, and 31.6 kg in Q4). For Re-order Points (ROP), the following values were calculated: sawdust (Q1: 45.5 kg, Q2: 47 kg, Q3: 38.4 kg, Q4: 39 kg), rice bran (Q1: 1.8 kg, Q2: 2 kg, Q3: 1.8 kg, Q4: 1.9 kg), corn flour (Q1: 0.6 kg, Q2: 0.6 kg, Q3: 0.5 kg, Q4: 0.3 kg), and lime (Q1: 0.2 kg, Q2: 0.2 kg, Q3: 0.2 kg, Q4: 0.3 kg). The calculations were
automated using POM-QM for Windows V.5 software, which represents a novel approach compared to previous studies. This research contributes to improving inventory management efficiency for raw materials at Edupark FPP UMM Mushroom Farm.
