Abstract

The purpose of this research is to understand the disparities in Central Java. These disparities occur due to differences in characteristics in each region, whether in terms of natural resources, human resources, or capital resources. The level of development inequality in Indonesia has been widening in recent years. This research aims to determine the extent of the influence of Unemployment, Human Development Index, and PAD on income inequality in Central Java. This research is a quantitative study using secondary data from Central Java Province from 2016-2020. The power analysis used in this study is panel data regression analysis with the Fixed Effect Model (FEM) approach. The results of this study indicate that unemployment has a negative and significant impact, while the Human Development Index (HDI) and Local Revenue (PAD) have a positive and significant impact on inequality in Central Java Province from 2016 to 2020. The local government is expected to enhance the growth of the Human Development Index (HDI) and is also encouraged to explore more opportunities in their regions to avoid financial dependency and improve the provision of public facilities.
