STRATEGI DINAS LINGKUNGAN HUDUP DALAM PENGELOLAHAN SAMPAH(studi TPA Supiturang Kota Malang)

This research is entitled Strategy of the Environmental Service in Waste Management at the Supiturang Malang TPA (garbage dump). This research aims to find out the strategy of the environmental service in managing waste at the Supiturang landfill. In overcoming the waste problem, the relevant agencies were faced with the problem of waste management at the Supiturang TPA, Malang City. Researchers use qualitative research. The data collection techniques used are observation, interviews and documentation, the data sources are government officials and the community selected according to the needs of this research. The results of this research show that data analysis found that waste management at the Supiturang TPA, Malang City, has been going well. However, improvements are still needed so that the implementation of waste management at the Supiturang TPA, Malang City, runs even better. Suggestions given from the research results for the government and the community in terms of waste management are: It is hoped that the Environmental Service will add human resources to the landfill space and utilize the empty space in the landfill by adding composting equipment, as well as providing socialization facilities for the people of Malang City and immigrants from outside Malang City to always maintain cleanliness and foster a sense of concern for the environment.
