Analisis Yuridis Dalam Pemberian Pembelaan Advokat Pada Proses Penyelesaian Tindak Pidana Pemalsuan Surat Dengan Nomor Registrasi Perkara 59/Pid.B/2024/Pn.Kpn.

The case of letter forgery is a criminal act that often occurs among the public using many criminal modus operandi, one of which is compiling and using fake letters to apply for fictitious credit. In order to respond to this situation, advocates must be professional in providing defense to the perpetrator to explore the reasons for committing the criminal act. This research becomes a source of legal knowledge for the public to prevent new cases from occurring. This research uses empirical juridical methods, which focus on legal analysis based on facts and empirical data obtained from cases that occurred at the Malang District Court, by means of interviews, observations and document studies. Research explains the professionalism of advocates in providing defense to reduce the defendant's sentence according to the appropriate regulations. This research describes the resolution process, the role of researchers, and analyzes the juridical process in providing advocate defense in the process of resolving the criminal act of letter forgery with case registration number 59/Pid.B/2024/Pn.Kpn. The hope of this research is that all five dynasties will be more thorough and careful in handling criminal cases of document forgery in order to avoid criminalization.
