ANALISIS PENINGKATAN KOMPETENSI PADA PROGRAM MAGANG GURU SMK PK BERBASIS KEMITRAAN DUDI DI SMK KOTA BATU

This study aims to analyze the improvement of teacher competencies at SMK PK through partnerships with the Business and Industry at SMK Kota Batu. Using a descriptive qualitative research method, this study explores aspects of the SMK PK program that influence the improvement of teacher competencies in the context of such partnerships. One of these aspects is the implementation of teacher training or internships in the Business and Industry. Data was collected through interviews and document studies. The research results show that competency improvement through partnerships with Business and Industry significantly enhances teachers' professional competencies, providing them with the latest knowledge about technology and industrial practices that are directly applied in teaching. Additionally, training at Business and Industry also enhances teachers' pedagogical competencies, making them more creative, innovative, and capable of motivating students. Interaction with industry professionals improves teachers' social competencies, such as communication, teamwork, and professional networking. Teachers also develop personality competencies, including integrity, discipline, leadership skills, working according to their roles and responsibilities, and respecting time. The improvement in teacher competencies directly impacts the learning process, with more relevant teaching and a deeper learning experience for students. Ongoing partnerships between vocational schools and Business and Industry are crucial to maintaining and enhancing teacher competencies through regular training that ensures the updating of knowledge and skills in line with industry developments.
