Abstract

This research aims to determine the application of self-progress learning in mathematics learning in elementary schools and to find out the advantages and disadvantages of implementing self-progress learning in elementary school mathematics learning. The approach used is qualitative research with a descriptive approach. This research was carried out at SD Anak Saleh Malang using data collection techniques in the form of interviews, documentation studies and observations. The data obtained shows that the implementation of Self Progress Learning in mathematics learning in elementary schools can be carried out and implemented well and students can learn independently without explanation from the teacher so that they are more comfortable learning freely. In this case, students can also collaborate with friends who find it difficult to solve mathematical problems. The advantage of Self Progress Learning in mathematics learning in elementary schools is that teachers no longer explain the material at the beginning of learning so that students have an independent attitude in working on problems, have a sense of empathy for others, focus during the learning process on the tasks that must be done, and work hard to can work to the maximum of the targets given, not be ashamed to admit that he doesn't understand and honestly assess himself. The disadvantage of Self Progress Learning in mathematics learning in elementary schools is that teachers need a lot of time to prepare checksheets and masterchecks for students. Not all students have the same level of motivation.
