Abstract
Early adulthood is a transition period from adolescence to adulthood. Early adulthood starts from the age of 18 to 25 years. This age change is marked by a change in nature that begins to be constant and towards mature thinking. In the transition period from adolescence to early adulthood, of course, many deviations occur, one of which is cybersex. The factor that influences cybersex is self-control. This study aims to determine the effect of self-control on cybersex in early adulthood. The subjects in this study were 385 people aged 20-25 years using convenience sampling techniques. There are two scales in this study, namely the Self-control Scale (SCS) and the Internet Sex Screening Test (ISST). The results of the study showed that self-control has a negative effect on cybersex (p <0.05, beta -0.697). The effective contribution of the R2 value to the hypothesis is 0.486, which shows that self-control contributes to cybersex in early adulthood by 48.6%, the rest is influenced by other variables that were not studied.
