Abstract

Students as learning subjects are unique individuals who have individual differences. Each individual has different characteristics, traits, interests, learning styles, potential/abilities and needs from one another. One way that teachers can accommodate the diverse learning needs of students is by designing differentiated learning. This study uses a qualitative approach with a Descriptive method. This research was conducted at SDN Oro-oro Ombo 2 Batu City with supporting research subjects being teachers, principals and participants. Data sources come from observations, interviews and document studies in the form of teaching modules and are analyzed by data triangulation. Data analysis techniques through the steps of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The purpose of this study is to explain the implementation of differentiated learning at SDN Oro-oro Ombo 2 Batu, explain the non-cognitive aspects of students in the implementation of differentiated learning and explain the meaning of implementing differentiated learning for improving the quality of learning at SDN Oro-oro Ombo 2 Batu. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of differentiated learning has been carried out well and has received support from the school, the principal and cooperation from parents. From this differentiated learning, it not only improves cognitive aspects but also non-cognitive aspects, namely learning motivation, sense of responsibility and independence towards tasks and students' self-confidence. For schools, differentiated learning can provide learning opportunities for students according to their learning needs, interests and learning styles.
