IMPLEMENTASI KEBIJAKAN PELARANGAN EKSPOR CPO SEMENTARA INDONESIA TERHADAP KONDISI EKONOMI NEGARA INDIA TAHUN 2022

Imports of palm oil from Indonesia are used to meet the needs of India’s CPO industry and meet the demand for vegetable oil consumption. It is difficult for India to let go of consumption of palm oil because the price of substitute goods is relatively more expensive and the level of supply is limited. However, on the one hand, Indonesia as the largest palm oil exporter in the world is experiencing a shortage of palm oil supplies for domestic market, causing the high price of palm oil. This study aims to find out how Indonesia’s temporary CPO export ban policy will be implemented against India’s economic conditions in 2022. The research used in this research is descriptive in nature. Data analysis was carried out qualitatively. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of Indonesia’s CPO export ban policy had a negative impact where India experienced a shortage of CPO and price increases due to this scarcity. Indonesia’s CPO export ban policy does have an impact on countries that import CPO from Indonesia, especially countries that are very dependent on Indonesian CPO because it causes scarcity in these countries and price increases are also unavoidable, but Indonesia continues to enforce this policy to meet the interests of Indonesia as a palm oil producer to meet the supply of palm oil in the Indonesian domestic market.
