EVALUASI PEMBERIAN MINYAK ATSIRI SEREH WANGI TERHADAP KONSUMSI PAKAN DAN PRODUKSI TELUR AYAM RAS

This study aims to determine the effect of adding essential oils to feed. The research material in the study was 42 52-week-old Isa Brown strain laying hens. This maintenance was carried out for 30 days in an open house cage. The feed used was commercial feed and given adlibitum. Citronella essential oil was mixed through the feed when the chickens were 52 weeks old. The treatments given were T0 (without citronella essential oil) and T1 (using citronella essential oil). The observed variables were feed consumption, egg weight, and Hen Day Production. The data analysis used was quantitative description. The results of this study were the addition of 2% citronella essential oil to the feed gave the same feed consumption value as T0, greater egg weight and lower HDP value compared to T0. The conclusion of this study is that citronella essential oil can be added to feed to help optimize egg production.
