Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of the Entrepreneurial Pondok Pesantren model in achieving student independence at SMKM 7 Gondanglegi, Malang Regency. This model integrates entrepreneurship education with religious values, aiming to produce graduates who are not only technically competent but also possess strong character. The research method used is qualitative with a descriptive approach, involving interviews, observations, and document analysis. The results indicate that the implementation of this model focuses on economic independence, character strengthening, and relevance to the workforce. Students are encouraged to form business groups, design business plans, and market their products. Supporting factors identified include a relevant curriculum, family support, and partnerships with the business world. However, there are also obstacles such as community apathy and intense competition. This study concludes that the Entrepreneurial Pondok Pesantren model has great potential in creating a generation that is independent and contributes to the economy. Therefore, it is recommended that the pesantren continuously evaluate and improve existing entrepreneurship programs, as well as enhance facilities and infrastructure to support the development of students' skills. Thus, graduates are expected to be independent not only spiritually but also financially, making the pesantren a reference in entrepreneurship education in Indonesia
