Abstract

This study examines the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum at SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Jombang, focusing on the impact of the Project for Strengthening the Profile of Pancasila Students (P5) and its effects on learning at the school. Through an in-depth analysis of P5 documents, interviews with the principal, P5 coordinators, facilitators, and students, as well as observations of P5 activities, this research aims to explore the design, implementation, and impact of P5 on students. Data was collected through P5 and KOSP module documents and through observations of phenomena occurring in the school. The results show that the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum at SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Jombang involves the development of P5 modules that are adapted or modified from government modules, with student involvement in selecting themes that align with their potential and circumstances. P5 activities are conducted regularly, with exhibitions held at the end of each theme. Although there are challenges in allocating time due to conflicts with other school activities, adjustments are made through communication with the principal and curriculum team. Education at SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Jombang is directed towards developing students' qualities and skills that are useful in everyday life through the P5 project. With this approach, through various educational aspects, existing potential, school culture, in-class and extracurricular learning, and supporting projects, it is hoped that the quality of human resources can be improved through holistic learning experiences at the school.
