Abstract
This research aims to analyze the implementation of the collaboration-based Teaching Factory (Tefa) model in the health sector, concentrating on the skills of nursing assistants and caregivers at SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Pandaan. The collaboration-based Tefa model is a learning approach that integrates the world of education with industry through hands-on practical activities that comply with industry standards. This research uses a qualitative approach with an ex post facto method. Data collection was carried out through interviews and document analysis. The results of the research show that the implementation of the collaboration-based Tefa model at SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Pandaan has gone well, but there are several challenges faced, such as limited facilities, lack of coordination between schools and industrial partners, as well as the need to increase teacher competency in aligning the curriculum with industry needs. The main supporting factors in implementing this model are full support from the school and the enthusiasm of students to be directly involved in practical activities. However, there are obstacles that need to be overcome, namely adjusting schedules between schools and industry and developing adequate practice facilities. This research concludes that the collaboration-based Tefa model has great potential to be applied in other vocational schools with a similar concentration of expertise, but needs improvements in terms of coordination, facilities and increasing the capacity of teaching staff.
