Abstract

This study discusses the learning tools of the independent curriculum at SMKN 3
Mataram", this is based on curriculum changes in the 2021 school year, including at SMKN
3 Mataram must implement the independent curriculum, Therefore, the purpose of this
study is to describe, explain the readiness of teachers in designing learning tools and
obstacles and solutions in Designing Independent Curriculum Learning Tools at SMKN 3
Mataram. This research is qualitative research with a descriptive type of research. The
respondents to this study were 6 electronics engineering teachers and vice principals of the
curriculum section of SMKN 3 Mataram. Data collection is carried out by Observation,
Interviews and Documentation. The data analysis technique uses the theory of Miles and
Huberman, namely reducing data, presenting data and drawing conclusions. The results of
this study showed, 1) the readiness of teachers in designing independent curriculum
learning tools was passed through IHT training and conducting discussions between subject
teachers, (2) the obstacles faced by teachers in designing independent curriculum learning
tools, including lack of references, lack of teacher creativity, textbooks and internet access,
so that there are still teachers who have difficulty in compiling learning tools. To overcome
these obstacles, the school has provided adequate facilities to achieve this goal. In addition,
teachers also participate in MGMP activities and look for relevant sources.
