Abstract

Laboratories play an important role in biology practicums. Laboratories provide an environment equipped with the necessary tools and materials to conduct experiments. Virtual laboratories allow unlimited repetition of experiments, which helps students better understand scientific concepts through repeated practice. The purpose of this research is to determine the implementation of virtual laboratories in the biology learning process and analyze the effectiveness of using interactive virtual laboratory media in the biology learning process. The research method used is a systematic literature review. A total of 12 scientific articles were used in this study. The results show that the use of virtual laboratories has a significant positive impact on the biology learning process. The implementation of this technology provides opportunities for students to engage in scientific practices without being limited by the physical constraints or equipment of traditional laboratories.
