Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strategies carried out by the Woman Life Freedom movement in fighting for justice for the hijab rule after the death of Mahsa Amini using the concept of new social movements through recruitment strategies. This research uses descriptive-qualitative methods, with data collection techniques through literature studies such as books, journals, news, reports, and other sources. The results of this study indicate that the Women Life Freedom Movement is one of the new social movements that is decentralized, which involves everyone as a leader in the running of the movement. In addition, the Woman Life Freedom movement takes various direct and indirect approaches based on its strategy. Direct approaches such as demonstrations, actions against wearing the hijab, holding petitions, organizing events, official forums, film festivals, and art exhibitions. While the indirect approach is done through the utilization of social media. Through these approaches, this strategy is used to reach out to the aspirations of a wider community and make them aware of the importance of women's rights in Iran.
