RASIONALITAS GENERASI MILENIAL DALAM PASAR MODAL (Studi Pada Komunitas ISP (Investor Saham Pemula) Pamekasan)

Millennials are terms in demographics, which is a noun meaning
follower or group. Growing up in the turn of the century makes the young man
experience a lifestyle transformation of millennials who actively always use
smartphones. Describe how social media seems to have become a part of every
day and almost similar status like primary needs. Capital markets are activities
related to public offering and securities trading, in which public companies
relating to securities will be able to issue trades, as well as institutions, and
professions related to securities. ISP (Beginner Stock Investor) Pamekasan is a
community located in Pamekasan Regency Madura, this community as a forum to
learn about stocks for interested beginners. The purpose of this study is to know
and understand the rationality of millennials to know the capital market by joining
the ISP community (Beginner Stock Investor). This research uses descriptive
qualitative methods. As for the research location in the EJSC (working space)
bakorwil building pamekasan regency. Data collection techniques use participant
observation, interviews and documentation. The technique of determining the
research subject uses purposive sampling. Data validity techniques use
triangulation. The theory used is Max Weber's rational action theory.
The results of this study show that the Pamekasan ISP (Beginner Stock
Investor) community is a good community because this community houses
beginners who want to find out about stock investments, especially millennials. In
max Weber's theory of social action the rationality of the millennial generation
only covers 2 aspects, namely internal rationality where this principle is done
through consideration of conscious choices related to the purpose of action for
achievement and the action of value is taking into account its benefits but the goal
to be achieved is not too important for the perpetrator, just because the goals are
good and right according to them then they will take that path.
