Abstract
Background: Auditory hallucination can occur in the general population, but are often associated with schizophrenia. Hallucinations are generally influenced by predisposing factors (developmental, socio-cultural, biochemical, psychological and genetic) and precipitating factors (behavior). These disturbances must be dealt with adequately. Because if not, it will cause a loss of the patient's ability to control himself which causes the patient to become easily hysterical, panic, weak, excessively afraid, bad and dangerous behavior. This case study aims to identify hallucination management of Mrs. M with a nursing diagnosis of auditory hallucinations in the Wisma Teratai Room UPT. Social Rehabilitation Bina Laras Pasuruan.
Method: This study used case study approach that structured through a series of nursing care which includes: assessment, data analysis, nursing intervention, implementation and evaluation. The process of assessment and data collection was carried out using various techniques, including: interviews with patients and nurses of UPT, observation and documentation.
Results: After being given SP-1 to SP-4 for five days, the patient's subjective data said that he was able to control hallucinations and the patient could carry out daily activities. Objective data shows that the patient appears to be able to control his hallucinations and the patient appears to be able to carry out daily activities such as making the bed, sweeping and helping to prepare food. It's just that, sensory perception disorders of auditory hallucinations are still present (+), so the planning must be carried out with an evaluation of SP1, SP2, SP3 and SP4 on how to control hallucinations.
Discussion: The problem of nursing sensory perception disorder auditory hallucinations experienced by patients caused by ineffective individual coping management. Nursing actions are not enough with hallucination management and giving SP 1-4. Patients are recommended to be given psychoreligious action (dhikr).
