Abstract

This research aims to find out more broadly the reasons why China developed Experimental Advanced Superconducting Tokamak (EAST) technology which has had an impact on China's environmental damage due to industrialization. The implementation process is seen using the concepts of energy security and national interests to see how China's own interests are in implementing energy for the sustainability of its technology. The concept of energy security is used as the main foundation in finding out the consequences of environmental damage that occurred in China. This research shows that China's interest in developing its technology has a major influence on its economic and political movements. China's industrialization has increased energy consumption levels and has an impact on the environment. Economic turmoil and the level of energy use are major breakthroughs for China's political journey itself. Therefore, the development of EAST technology will have an impact on China's energy sustainability in the future. China has an important role in controlling and implementing its technological success. All efforts made by China are aimed at the success of this technology.
