Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the implementation of the E-Court system at the Probolinggo Religious Court in realizing the principles of simplicity, speed, and low cost in resolving cases. The research method used is empirical legal research, namely a legal research method that uses empirical facts taken from human behavior, both verbal behavior obtained during interviews and real behavior carried out through direct observation. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of E-Court at the Probolinggo Religious Court has a positive contribution to increasing the efficiency of the justice system. This system allows the case process to be simpler with easy access to digital files, accelerates the trial process with the use of technology for scheduling and communication, and reduces administrative costs required by the parties concerned. The main conclusion of this study is that E-Court is effective in supporting the principles of simplicity, speed, and low cost at the Probolinggo Religious Court. However, challenges such as adequate technological infrastructure and adequate training for all parties involved still need to be overcome to maximize its effectiveness.
