Abstract

Human resources companies are the most important resources in achieving the goals of a company. Therefore, it requires work-life balance and interpersonal family communication in achieving good job satisfaction. Work-life balance is found to improve interpersonal family communication which then affects job satisfaction. This study aims to determine the correlation between work-life balance and job satisfaction in employees with interpersonal family communication as a mediator. This study uses a quantitative research type using a simple random sampling technique. The subjects in this study were employees of PT Pertamina x with a total of 277 subjects. The instruments used in this study were Fisher's work-life balance scale, Luthans' job satisfaction scale, and Bienvenu's interpersonal communication inventory (ICI) scale. The data analysis of this study used mediator regression analysis. Based on the results of the study, the mediator analysis test showed an estimate value of 0.011 and a p value of 0.234, which means that interpersonal family communication can mediate the relationship between work-life balance and job satisfaction.
